BPM College is excited to reveal the winners of the BPMREMIX international remix contest for the track ‘SUN’ by MITA GAMI. We appreciate KZPRO, Transient, and Audiofeel for their prize contributions, and Maccabi House Label for featuring the track.
In July 2024, we opened the doors for remix submissions, and it was incredibly exciting to receive and explore all of your submissions! We’re thankful to all the talented musicians who brought their unique visions to ‘SUN’. It was a pleasure to experience how you each made the track your own.
The competition received an overwhelming response from musicians and producers worldwide, with over 150 remixes submitted. Many of them were excellent, but as with any competition, a decision had to be made. After much deliberation, the artist and label selected the three winning remixes.

And now, it’s time to reveal the winners of the BPMREMIX competition for MITA GAMI’s ‘SUN’:
First Place: LuSiD
LuSiD (Dean McDonnell) tells us about his remix:
“For this remix, I decided to pitch down the stems to Bm to create a deep tech vibe and slightly increased the tempo. I incorporated heavy acid riffs to enhance its danceability and give it a unique edge.”

Second Place: SARO
SARO (Saar Cohen) shares their thoughts on the remix:
“When I first started working on the remix and saw the stems, it felt like collaborating with Amit on a new track. I aimed to give the song and its perfect melody a fresh indie groove and vibe, and enjoyed matching those sounds with my synth.”

Third Place: Red Prince
Red Prince (Dylan Uzan) describes his remix:
Inspired by the vocal “the sun” I envisioned a sunset beach scene with a cool DJ vibe. I aimed for a warm, minimalistic track, focusing on the vocal without overcomplicating the sound design, I kept it simple, carefully balancing elements to match the sunset vibe.

בחודש יולי 2024 יצאנו לדרך, והתחלנו לקבל את הרמיקסים שלכם. היה מרגש ביותר לקבל ולשמוע את כל ההגשות שלכם, ואנחנו רוצים להודות לכל המוסיקאים המוכשרים שהביאו את הפרשנות הייחודית שלהם ל-SUN. היה תענוג לראות איך כל אחד מכם הפך את הטראק לשלו.
התחרות זכתה להיענות עצומה מצד מוזיקאים ומפיקים מכל העולם, ומעל 150 רמיקסים נשלחו אלינו, כולל המון רמיקסים מצוינים. אך כמו בכל תחרות, בסוף צריך לבחור ולהכריע, ולאחר התלבטויות לא קלות, האמן והלייבל בחרו את שלושת הרמיקסים הזוכים.

“כשהתחלתי לעבוד על הרמיקס וראיתי את הסטמס, הרגשתי כאילו אני משתף פעולה עם עמית על טראק חדש. כיוונתי לתת לטראק ולמלודיה המושלמת שלו גרוב אינדי עדכני, ונהניתי ליצור את הסאונדים האלה עם הסינטים שלי”.

מקום שלישי: Red Prince
Red Prince (דילן אוזן) מתאר את הרמיקס שלו:
בהשראת הווקאל ‘SUN’, דמיינתי סצנה של שקיעה על חוף הים עם וייב של די.ג’יי מגניב. שאפתי ליצור טרק חם ומינימליסטי, תוך התמקדות בווקאל בלי לסבך את הסאונד. שמרתי על פשטות, תוך איזון מדויק של האלמנטים כדי להתאים לאווירת השקיעה”.
